The Romotop Mangala is a very contemporary, clean lined stove with an impressive 8kW output. It is a convecting stove, which means that it draws cold air from the floor, heats it as it passes around the stove firebox, and then spreads that warm air around the room. This ensures that there is a good, even heat across the room and that it doesn't get too hot close to the stove itself.
The very large curved glass window gives a great view of the flames and the window is kept clear by an effective airwash. The door has a positive triple point closing system (as opposed to the single point closing found on most stoves) operated by the single handle on the side of the door. There is even a small log store underneath the stove behind the bottom door.
The Mangala operates at an impressive 79% efficiency, utilising a sophisticated cleanburning system that introduces preheated air into the top of the firebox to allow a more complete combustion of gases that would otherwise go up the chimney. It has an air intake spigot on the back of the stove to facilitate a direct air feed for the combustion if it is wanted. This means fewer draughts because the air that the stove needs is coming directly from outside the house.
